Starting with January 1, 2022, the minimum gross basic salary in the country guaranteed in
payment is established in cash, without including bonuses and other additions, at the amount
of 2,550 per month, for a normal working schedule of an average of 167,333 hours per
month, representing 15,239 lei / hour.
Otherwise, the minimum wage in the economy will increase by about 10.9% from January 1,
2022, and an employee will receive a net salary of 1,524 lei.
At the same time, as a result of this increase, the taxes due to the state for an employee with
the minimum wage in the economy will increase from 966 lei to 1,083 lei per month.
Starting next year, there will no longer be the minimum salary for employees in positions that
have provided the status of higher education level, as the minimum gross salary of 2,350 lei is
exceeded.
As an exception, the minimum wage for employees in the construction sector has not
changed, being still 3,000 lei gross per month.
