Essential changes are made regarding associations and foundations in the sense that obtaining
legal personality, respectively the statute and the modification documents can be submitted in the
form of documents under private signature, and if the contribution in kind consists of real estate,
the authentic form is mandatory.
In the case of associations constituted only of natural persons, it is not mandatory to submit the
declaration on own responsibility when the only real beneficiaries are only the persons whose
identification data are included in the documents.
At the same time, if legal persons participate in the association it is necessary to submit an
official extract from the register of the authority where the legal person is registered attesting the
form of the legal person and its representatives, respectively the fiscal record of the founding
legal person.
Also, if the name of the association is in a language other than Romanian a legalized translation
is attached to the request for release of proof of availability of the name.
