It was adopted by the Government of Romania, the decision that provides for the modification
and completion of the Norms of application for granting facilities for loans granted by credit
institutions and non-banking financial institutions to certain categories of debtors.
The natural person whose income has been directly or indirectly affected by the situation
generated by the Covid-19 pandemic may benefit from the granting of the facility to suspend the
obligation to pay the installments, interests and commissions related to the mortgage loan,
provided that the request is sent to the most creditor late on March 15, 2021 inclusive.
The period for which the facilities for granting the payment of the due installments related to the
loans are granted, representing capital installments, interest and commissions, granted to the
debtors by the creditors from the mortgage loans, is established according to the debtor’s option
and is between minimum one month and maximum nine months.
The payment by the debtor of the debt representing the total interest related to the suspension
period for the payment granted, will be made in stages, starting with the month immediately
following the end of the suspension period, in 60 equal monthly installments, without charging
interest for this component of the mortgage. and the repayment schedule is communicated to the
debtor within 5 calendar days from the date of communication of the decision approving the
request for suspension of the obligations to pay the installments.
