For the period of temporary suspension of the individual employment contract, at the
initiative of the employer, as a result of the effects produced by the SARS-CoV-2
coronavirus, unemployment insurance budget, but not more than 75% of the average gross
earnings, until December 31, 2021.
Beneficiaries are the employees of the employers during the temporary interruption of the
activity, totally or partially, in the context of the increase of the incidence of spreading the
coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and of the measures for diminishing the impact of the type of risk
for prolonging the alert state.
Also, the beneficiaries are the employees whose activity has been suspended as a result of the
epidemiological investigation carried out by the county public health directorates, except for
the employees who are on medical leave and who receive the related social insurance
indemnity.
In the situation where an employee has concluded several individual employment contracts
and all of them are suspended, he benefits from the indemnity related to the individual
employment contract with the most advantageous salary rights.
During the period in which the individual employment contracts are suspended, the
employers do not owe the insurance contribution for work and constitute a contribution
period without paying the contribution in the insurance system.
