According to the new Law the annual royalty for concessions of public and private property,
respectively public activities and services of national and general interest in the field of
electricity is 0.4% and is paid by the electricity transmission operator from the gross revenues
value from operations transmission and transit of electricity through national transmission
systems publicly owned by the State.
At the same time, the annual royalty for the public property goods related to the natural gas
transmission and storage objectives / systems, as well as the natural gas transmission, storage and
distribution services are the object of the concession to Romanian or foreign legal entities is
0.4% and is paid by the natural gas transmission operator from the value of the gross revenues
realized from natural gas transmission and transit operations through national transmission
systems, in the public property of the state.
The previous regulation did not provide for a certain percentage of royalty and was paid by the
transport operator without indicating a certain value.
