An emergency ordinance was adopted regarding the establishment of social protection
measures for employees and other professional categories in context of prohibition,
suspension or limitation of economic activities, determined by epidemiological situation
generated by spread of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
Thus, until March 31, 2022, for period of temporary suspension of the individual employment
contract at the initiative of employer, benefits of employees are set at 75% of basic salary
corresponding to job and are supported by unemployment insurance budget, but not more
than 75% of average gross earnings.
If an employee has concluded several individual employment contracts of which at least one
contract is active, he does not benefit from above-mentioned allowance. However, in
situation where all individual contracts are suspended, he benefits from indemnity with most
advantageous salary rights.
The right to indemnity is granted on the basis of a request and statement on own
responsibility and of electronic submission to county payment and inspection agencies.
