Investment grants for SMEs ranging from EUR 50,000 to EUR 200,000 are available from non-reimbursable funds totaling EUR 550 million. The co-financing is 30% for the Bucharest-Ilfov region, respectively 15% for other regions.
In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the approximately 725,00 SMEs in Romania can benefit, insofar as they meet the conditions provided by law, from grants for investments from non-reimbursable funds, ranging from 50,000 to 200,000 EUR.
The total amount available for funding through this program is EUR 550 million.
There are several areas of activity that fall into the list of those who can access these grants, such as: the food industry, construction and building materials, metal works, wood and furniture, tourism, textiles, education, health.
The beneficiaries must meet several conditions, such as: having carried out activity for at least one year prior to the date of submission of the application, having registered an operating profit in one of the two years prior to the date of submission of the application, being active for a period of at least 3 years after granting the grant.
Beneficiary co-financing is at least 15% in the case of less developed regions and at least 30% in the case of Bucharest-Ilfov region.
The use of these funds can be made for: purchase of equipment, construction, technical advice, environmental expenses, promotion and others.
