The provisions of the established aid scheme aim at unblocking the access to financing of companies
that face a liquidity deficit generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to continue their activity,
state aid that comes in the form of loans with subsidy interest in lei.
The granting of credits within the Aid Scheme can be done either directly by Eximbank in the name
and on behalf of the state, or through commercial banks, through co-financing operations.
The source of financing the measures within the Aid Scheme is represented by the funds provided by
the Ministry of Public Finance, and the budget of the Scheme is 2 billion lei and is intended for an
estimated number of 100 beneficiaries, who can submit the financing file up to no later than May 31,
2021.
Credits can be accessed by beneficiaries who carry out their activity in Romania, from all sectors of
activity, except those in the gambling and betting industry, arms production or sale, investigation and
protection activities, real estate transactions (establishment / acquisition of real estate for the purpose
of selling / renting), respectively to those financial intermediation and insurance activities.
