
Recently, the Decision on the approval of the National Program for the digitization of micro, small and medium enterprises, financed within the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014-2020, was adopted.
According to the decision, the value of the Program is 726 million lei, the equivalent of EUR 150 million, at the InforEuro exchange rate in July 2020, of which the European Union contribution is 617.1 million lei, the equivalent of EUR 127.5 million, corresponding to a contribution of 85% of the European Union. The national contribution is 108.9 million lei, the equivalent of EUR 22.5 million, corresponding to a national contribution of 15%.
The implementation period of the National Program for the digitization of micro, small and medium enterprises is until December 31st, 2023.
The objective of the Program is to increase the competitiveness of SMEs in Romania, by developing innovative products/services/applications in order to support SMEs and public authorities, respectively the non-reimbursable financial support for the digitization of micro, small and medium enterprises in other sectors of activity.
