A new Emergency Ordinance on the Support Program for Small and Medium Enterprises was
adopted, a program that includes the Subprogram for Support the Small and Medium Enterprises
and Small Enterprises with Medium Market Capitalization, in the field of agriculture, fisheries,
aquaculture and the food sector IMM INVEST, which aims to provide guarantee facilities by the
state in a transparent and non-discriminatory manner for loans to small and medium enterprises.
The sub-program for supporting small and medium enterprises consists in providing state
guarantees in favor of each beneficiary participating in the program requesting financing for
current work needs or for making investments, respectively includes a non-reimbursable
component of maximum 10% of the guaranteed financing value, provided that the ceiling of
120,000 euros for each enterprise operating in the fisheries and aquaculture sector, 100,000 euros
for each enterprise operating in the primary production of agricultural products, 800,000 euros
for each enterprise operating in the food sector.
The duration of the guarantees granted may not exceed 6 years for small and medium enterprises
and small enterprises with medium market capitalization within the IMM INVEST Romania
Program.
By implementing the aid scheme, it is estimated that state aid will be granted to a maximum
number of 58,987 beneficiaries.
