
The State Aid Scheme – Support for SMEs in order to overcome the economic crisis
generated by the Covid-19 pandemic was approved, a scheme that is financed from non-
reimbursable external funds provided by the Competitiveness Operational Program.
The purpose of the aid scheme is that these non-reimbursable external funds are granted to
SMEs that are facing a deficit or even unavailability of liquidity, and the Ministry of
European Investment and Projects is the provider of state aid.
The state aid is granted in the form of micro-grants in a fixed amount for working capital,
respectively in the form of grants for working capital, the aid scheme being applicable until
December 31, 2021.
The beneficiary of the state aid can also access other state aid schemes elaborated based on
the Communication of the Commission – Temporary framework for state aid measures,
within the limit of the equivalent in lei of the amount of 800,000 Euro.
If the state aid provider finds that the final beneficiaries did not comply with the provisions of
the state aid scheme, the Managing Authority for the Operational Competitiveness Program,
requests the reimbursement of the state aid received, to which is added the related interest.
