The Regulation establishing stages and conditions for connection to natural gas distribution
system was approved, that contributes to ensuring a unitary, transparent and non-
discriminatory framework regarding the process of connection to the distribution system.
Within maximum 30 days from the receipt of the connection request and the accompanying
documents, the operator of the natural gas distribution system establishes the connection
technical solution.
Based upon the technical solution, the natural gas distribution system operator draws up the
technical connection approval, which is accompanied by a connection offer contract for the
accomplishment of the works necessary for the connection to the natural gas distribution
system.
After signing the contract between the natural gas distribution operator and the applicant,
within 60 days the economic operator authorized by ANRE is appointed, in a competitive
regime, and the works performed by the economic operator are based on a service contract,
with compliance with the mandatory minimum clauses provided by ANRE Order no. 96 from
2018.
The natural gas distribution operator has the obligation to draw up, to publish on its own
website and to maintain an electronic register of records of the connection requests, as well as
the way in which they were solved.
