Emergency ordinance on amendments and additions to the Law no. 121/2014 on energy efficiency has been approved.
National indicative contribution on energy efficiency for 2030 is set out in the National Integrated Energy and Climate Change Plan 2021-2030.
Annually, 3% of the total area of buildings heated and/or cooled for indoor climate, owned and occupied by central public administration, shall be renovated to meet at least the minimum energy performance requirements.
Where heat meters or cost allocators are installed, ANRE ensures that billing and consumption information is reliable and accurate.
Billing based on actual consumption allows end-users to regulate their own energy consumption and billing is based on actual consumption or monthly heat cost meter readings. From October 1st 2022, where meters or heat cost allocators that can be read remotely have been installed, billing or consumption information based on actual consumption or heat cost allocators readings shall be made available to end-users at least monthly. They can be made available via the Internet and updated as frequently as possible depending on the metering devices and systems used. Heating and cooling can be exempted from this requirement outside the heating/cooling seasons.
